In other words, as unbelievable as they look, they actually look believable. Towns have a lived-in look and the NPCs are chock full of personality. Even when they don't talk they at least will illicit some reaction to situations or your appearance. The music and sound effects echo the rest of the excellent production values.

It's certainly one of the best RPGs out there and there's no doubt that some novices will consider it the best RPG they've ever played. If you're looking for some action in a RPG then Fable is definitely the way to go. You either loved Fable on Xbox or hated it. There wasn't much middleground when it came to opinions on the overhyped debacle that was Fable.

Unlike most instances of hype gone wild, stories of how incredible Fable was going to be were delivered straight from the horses mouth - Peter Molyneux - the brainchild designer. Unfortunately for everyone involved including the gamers and Mr. Molyneux, his creative eyes were far bigger than his development stomach and huge portions of the game, mechanics to boot, were sliced and diced so the game could actually end its 5 year development cycle and hit the shelves already.

What gamers played wasn't even close to what was promised and while the game sold 1. I played Fable but not all of the way through. Why, you ask? Because I thought it was crap.

That's why. It was as linear as the first Crash Bandicoot game and less engrossing. Sure I can be a bad guy and wear tattoos and scare people, but I can also turn off the Xbox and load up another game that I like even more. You have to love the infinite choices we're given in this reality, eh? And I didn't have to cut my hair, eat a burger, get a tattoo, steal a car or talk to the local prostitute.

I just turned it off. I'm assuming Mr. Molyneux thinks that PC gamers and RPG enthusiasts who look down their nose at consoles will 'get' Fable more than the street urchins who love Halo 2.

I'm here to tell him that I sincerely doubt it. Fable 2 received a lot of positive reviews and critics have loved the game. In Fable 2 players will be in the land of Albion in the colonial era. Guns available in the game are quite primitive and some large cities and castles have developed into new towns. Players will be able to play with both male and female characters.

The game Fable 2 comes with a co-op mode which is quite fun to play. Players will be able to play co-op mode in both online and offline modes. Players will need to have a stable internet connection to play the co-op mode online.

Players can always play on the same console if they want to play the co-op offline. Fable 2 is a game that was exclusive to Xbox and it was a game that changed the rules of open-world games in general.

Dene: "It may be completely stupid, but I love the idea that you can completely undermine the heroic experience when you play Fable. In that game you could have the rabbit ears, and in the time-travelling cut-scene it was just fantastically funny. So we talked about being able to play the entirety of Fable while wearing a chicken hat; having all these emotive cut-scenes while you've got a big chicken hat on would be quite funny.

Dene: "Noooooo! Cluck, cluck! Simon: "People have said that it's almost like Fable was written by Gonzo from The Muppets, because it has this strange obsession with wild foul. With a load of added features, items, and a level not previously on the XBox version, Fable hopes to make the transition more successfully than earlier console ports have.

First off, I need to stress that while Fable: The Lost Chapters looks like a port, it doesn't feel or even play like one.

The storyline is the same as the original: Play the life of a character from early youth to wizened veteran.

Each decision you make, bad or good, affects the growth and development of your character. Choose good, choose evil, or something in between, and your character will develop into whatever you wish to make of him, and with all of the respective auras and characteristics of good and evil avatars.

Shades of Black and White? Maybe, but it's still done elegantly in Fable. Controlling your character is quite easy, since controls match configurations found in most FPS titles.

It's only a matter of a few tweaks to the options to get the configuration that suits you, and exploring the vast world Fable has to offer is quite easy. That being said, the towns, cities and other areas in Fable are richly drawn and well laid out, much like their historic counterparts.

Audio is also well done, though someone needs to work on the voice acting a bit. This is, however, a weakness many games have had in the recent past. Rather than discuss too many of the same things as earlier Xbox reviews, let's discuss the new features: the PC version of Fable offers new levels previously unavailable on console, as well as a host of other items, charms, tattoos and items designed to make your character unique.

Whether this is simply eye candy or a nice addition to the game is merely a matter of opinion, though this writer leans more toward the latter. The only complaint I have is that the game tends to be fairly short, easy to complete rather quickly. However, with the many variations and options you have to create an original character every time you play, it does tend to add to the replay value.

All things being equal, Fable: The Lost Chapters does something I never thought possible: It brings the excitement and life of an excellent game on the console to the PC, and does it well.

You can tell the amount of love poured into this game, it really shows.
